Pyreness Dogs live with the goats 24/7,  they look "ragged", after a good brusking out, they  will roll in the dirt to get rid of the smell of the brush, shampoo or what ever --- it's their way of protecting their flock!   The fence is 5foot high! Terrion & Chucka              We have been raising Goasts and Great Pyreness Guard Dogs since 2000. When we moved onto our land the coyotes and wild dogs where a major problem and to keep our livestock:Horse, Cows and Goats safe we purchased our first 2 Grt. Pyreness dogs. Since than we all were safe! The Male, once he was 6 months old, he jumped the fence at least 4-5 times a day to make his rounds, checking out all the  the other animals safety and left his " Marks " in a hudge Perimeter. Grt. Pyreness dogs are the only dog  that seeks out preditors before they have a chance to even get close. When danger is in the Air, his special bark gets every ones attention and you see that all the animals run for safety, even our huskies obey his command! When people came by to purchase goats, Chuckka would stand by my side watching every move and letting people know: don't mess with Lady Texas! His impressive size even scared the witz out of Mr.Big &  Bad Cool J and his enterage of 5! The Grt. Pyreness female would let baby goats (kids) suckle on her, little kittens, she did not care! Childern could play with her and she was happy! Conclusion: Grt. Pyreness are an all around wonderful dog and make the Best Pet besides beeing the Best Protector  for your Livestock and your selves. They get along with any dog & cats.         New litter of Pyreness Puppies has arrived on May 12. 2008 8 beautiful pups to choose from! At age 7 months a female will be approx. 48 lbs..
